HeartSafe Community Program: In collaboration with local police and fire stations, EMS, the Petaluma Valley Hospital and the American Heart Association, PHCD launched HeartSafe in 2013. HeartSafe provides CPR and AED (heart defibrillation) training, installs AEDs in throughout our community, and provides ongoing education and AED maintenance support. Lifeline of the North Bay: Lifeline is a Personal Emergency Response Service (PERS) provided by PHCD and avialble to seniors and others individuals throughout Southern Sonoma County. Lifeline is a pendant-style Help Button that can automatically call for help if a fall is detected and the wearer is unable to press their button because they are immobilized, disoriented or unconscious.
